About Us

Owner and proprieter Angela Pratt holds a B.S. in Environmental Horticulture and Urban Forestry from UC Davis and an A.S. in Ornamental Horticulture from American River College.

Manager, Cheryl Hawes, brings her artistic eye to the nursery and can usually be found planting pots, crafting mosaics (on everything that has a surface), chatting with customers, and fondling the merchandise. Despite her 20% employee discount, her paychecks tend to be very small.

Sustainable landscaping advocate Sue Jennings conducts regular workshops on River-Friendly gardening practices. Our nursery is pleased to offer Jennings' full line of organic, herbal body care products.

Ann Amato teaches our "Gardener's Yoga" classes every second Saturday.

Eileen Lynch is our capable Indoor Merchandiser. Eileen travels frequently to Seattle, Los Angeles, New York and the U.K. in order to bring our customers the latest must-have house & garden items.
